What is Hurghada Dive Fest? – Two weeks of diving from El Gouna in the Red Sea. For those that don’t know El Gouna, it is a privately owned city with it’s own infrastructure. Apart from the weather you would not know that you were in Egypt as it is just like being in Europe. No hassle or haggle.

A transport system with weekly passes is available. There is a private airport if you want to fly yourself in on your Lear Jet and a super yacht marina where you can berth your multi million pound vessel. In short, El Gouna is clean, safe and not like Egypt at all.

The plan is that we have sufficient numbers to have our own boat. This means that we can dive where we want (subject to the captains agreement) and for as long as we want. Daily diving in El Gouna is not like anywhere else that I have dived in the Red Sea. The wrecks at Abu Nuhas and The Rosalie Moller are daily dives so no need for a liveaboard. We also have the choice of many unspoiled reefs as we can go that bit further than the normal daily boats.  It’s not just CCR but OC as well and there is something for everyone including Twinsets, stages and normal tech support.

The accommodation is planned to be in shared Villas and Apartments, the costs are around £70 to £100 per person per week.

Flights from the UK are around £300 to £400 and you can come for a week or two weeks. If you want 5* luxury then you can stay at one of the many hotels.

Dive Fest is provided by Tekdeep at no profit. You pay everything at cost price.
