I have provisionally booked a week on board Salutay from the 4th to the 10th August 2012 which is the best neaps week. It’s also my birthday on the 6 August so I’m wiling to miss being at home to get the neap tides.

Salutay is the boat of Al Wright and it is the boat that discovered many of the wrecks of Malin Head.

We will be picked up in Stranraer Scotland so no ferries to pay for and you can go with gas. The trip will be limited to 8 divers and if we’re full then the cost is £720 each. The terms and conditions are on the website but as it’s a full charter we pay the whole boat £5,760.

If you’re wondering about how good the diving can be there then this video shot last August should help

Diving Malin Head, Ireland, 2010 from Geoff Davies on Vimeo.

If you would like a place on the Malin trip 25% deposit is required (£180) when we confirm the booking which is as soon as possible.

If you’re thinking that you would like to go and are not quite up to that level of diving then you have a year to get there and diving Malin is one big incentive.
